📖Biography
Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin entered the Carmelite convent in Lisieux, France at just 15 years old. Despite her short life, she developed a distinctive spirituality known as the 'Little Way' — doing small things with great love. She suffered from tuberculosis and experienced a dark night of the soul, yet maintained her childlike trust in God. Her autobiography, Story of a Soul, became one of the most widely read spiritual works. She was declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997, one of only four women to hold this title. She promised to spend her heaven doing good on earth, and is known for sending roses as signs of answered prayers.
🙏Prayer to St. Thérèse of Lisieux
O Little Thérèse of the Child Jesus, please pick for me a rose from the heavenly gardens and send it to me as a message of love. O Little Flower of Jesus, ask God today to grant the favors I now place with confidence in your hands. St. Thérèse, help me to always believe, as you did, in God's great love for me, so that I might imitate your Little Way each day. Amen.
