📖Biography

St. Philomena's remains were discovered in the Catacomb of Priscilla in 1802, along with tiles bearing symbols of martyrdom and the inscription 'Peace be with you, Philomena.' When her relics were transferred to Mugnano del Cardinale, numerous miracles were reported. St. John Vianney, the Curé of Ars, had a deep devotion to her and attributed many miracles to her intercession. She was called the 'Wonder Worker' by Pope Gregory XVI. Though her historical details are limited, the devotion to St. Philomena was confirmed by multiple popes and continues to produce remarkable spiritual fruits. Her story demonstrates that God's power works through faith and devotion.
