π€What is Divine Mercy Sunday?
Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated on the Second Sunday of Easter (April 12, 2026). It was established by Pope John Paul II in 2000, fulfilling Jesus' request to St. Faustina Kowalska.
Jesus promised extraordinary graces to those who celebrate this feast: βThe soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.β This is sometimes compared to a βsecond Baptismβ β a complete cleansing of the soul.
To receive these graces, one must: (1) Go to Confession (within about 20 days before or after), (2) Receive Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday, (3) Venerate the Divine Mercy Image, (4) Be in a state of complete trust in God's mercy.

Jesus told St. Faustina: βAt three o'clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony... I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion.β
Catholics are encouraged to pause at 3:00 PM daily β the hour Jesus died β to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, meditate on the Passion, or simply say: βJesus, I trust in You.β
