๐Ÿ“–Biography

Thomas Aquinas was born to a noble family in Roccasecca, Italy. Against his family's wishes, he joined the Dominican Order. His brilliance earned him the title 'Angelic Doctor.' He authored the monumental Summa Theologica, harmonizing faith and reason, and his Five Ways remain foundational arguments for God's existence. Though his peers initially called him the 'Dumb Ox' for his quiet demeanor, his teacher Albert the Great predicted his ideas would fill the world. Near the end of his life, after a mystical experience during Mass, he declared all his writings were 'like straw' compared to what God had revealed to him.

๐Ÿ™Prayer to St. Thomas Aquinas

Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom! Pour forth your brilliance upon my dense intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance. Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself. Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion. This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever. Amen.
