Malachi
The last book of the Old Testament prophets, Malachi addresses a spiritually complacent post-exilic community. He rebukes corrupt priests and faithless spouses, prophesies a coming messenger (fulfilled in John the Baptist), and foretells the day of the Lord.

๐Summary & Overview
Malachi uses a dialogue format โ God speaks, the people ask 'How?', and God explains. He addresses six disputes: God's love for Israel, contempt of God's name by priests, faithlessness in marriage, where is the God of justice?, robbing God through withholding tithes, and harsh words against God. He closes with the promise of Elijah's return before the great day of the Lord โ fulfilled in John the Baptist (Matthew 11:14). Malachi is the bridge between the Old and New Testaments.
